我覺得是用在「趕場」上了。
不得不說一下昨晚發生的事，十一點半待在實驗室，接到營上打來的電話彷彿大夢初醒!!沒錯，又忘了安全回報。這是每次放假必做的例行公事(蠢事)之一，其他還有像是離營寫作之類的鳥事。跟副連長解釋了好一會才知道，整件事都是輔導長的主意。很快地半小時之後，我就接到「召回」通知...

難得碰到 Jaiku 系統維護，結果修了一天到現在還是沒好。實際上 Jaiku 的使用人口一直都比 Twitter 少很多，加上後起之秀 Plurk 表現亮眼，Jaiku 實在很難吸引一般用戶注意。雖然用的人少，理論上系統 Loading 不會太重，不過目前仍是停機中。
Update 3/21：
上週碰到的系統維護，應該是 Jaiku 正式移入 Google App Engine 後進行系統調教。但整件事後續影響較大的是：Jaiku 沒辦法透過「國際簡訊」來更新留言內容。直到昨天才驚然發覺這個問題。在我手機記錄中，至少有八封簡訊 Jaiku 都未收到，這實在太糟了(還我留言來!!)...

Jaiku is becoming JaikuEngine
Today is a special day: Jaiku is now being served from Google App Engine. That's the first step in Google making Jaiku freely available as a federated, open source microblogging platform. Although Google will no longer actively develop the Jaiku codebase, the platform will live on as JaikuEngine in the hands of the open source community.JaikuEngine differs from Jaiku in a few key ways. Although core features like the website, SMS (in the US only) and IM bot still work, feed fetching and international SMS are no longer available.
記得去年 Google Calendar 還能透過簡訊服務(SMS)發送行程提示，後來這個功能就無疾而終；如果依照相同的模式研判，台灣地區用戶想要透過 SMS 更新 Jaiku，短期內應該不可能辦到了。
